Primary Care or Urgent Care?
Mid-Tennessee Medical is first and foremost a primary care clinic, dedicated to providing timely care to every member of your family. From routine checkups to vaccines and immunizations, you can rely on our staff to provide you with the prompt care and treatment you deserve.
We want our patients to feel like family, and we are committed to serving you 7 days a week with little to no wait time, offering walk-in availability as an additional convenience. If an urgent non-emergency medical issue arises, we are ready to provide the care you need. However, there are some important differences between walk-in primary care and urgent care services.
Differences & Similarities
Walk-in primary care and urgent care are similar in that they provide many of the same services to help patients maintain their health and wellness. However, as you might guess, patients typically seek primary care when their health concerns are not pressing, and seek urgent care when they need quick treatment for illnesses that need immediate attention. At our clinic, we offer both of these options.
Walk-in primary care centers like Mid-Tennessee Medical can address all of a patient’s health issues, including the urgent ones. Treatment by primary care nurse practitioners means paying primary care co-pays, often resulting in more affordable visits. In addition, our nurse practitioners can also refer our patients to area specialists in many fields, should you need additional care beyond what we provide.
